Never2Young Charity Golf Day

in memory of Glyn Trueman

Monday April 14th 2025

Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club

Golf for a good cause.

We’re back for 2025!

Join us for a round of golf followed by lunch at one of Australia’s premier courses. Lunch is open to everyone - partners, friends and non-golfers, we’d love to see you there.

The event is proudly supporting Bowel Cancer Australia's Never2Young program, which raises awareness, contributes to research and supports young people diagnosed with bowel cancer.

The day is in memory of Glyn Trueman, a much loved husband, dad, son, brother, friend and member of Peninsula Kingswood. Glyn was diagnosed with bowel cancer at age twenty seven and had an incredibly brave and courageous three and a half year journey through illness.

Glyn’s diagnosis was a shock to his family and friends, as like most people we thought ‘this doesn’t happen to young people’.

Glyn’s family hope that through sharing his story alongside one of his passions whilst raising funds for the important work Bowel Cancer Australia do, that we can contribute to positive change.

The event will be held on the North Course, his favourite course to play.

Ranked sixth best course in Australia, the course is widely acknowledged for its championship standard and design. Quoting Golf Australia “there wouldn't be anywhere in the World that has seen a better make over at a golfing facility".
